“Effective marketing gets people to feel something … to experience a brand and believe in it,” says SVP Creative Director Brendan Nash in a recent Q+A with Effie Worldwide.

In the interview, Nash discusses the path-to-purchase evolution he forsees: Savvy shoppers are aware of blatant brand advertising, and they may not like it. In fact, the best marketing opportunity is to value consumers by inviting them into the product or service.

Nash says power has truly shifted into the hands of shoppers. Since consumers hold the power, marketers must tune into trends and track social influencers to effectively market their brand.
