Job Description

OVERVIEW

The Senior Strategist, Commerce Experience will support the Amazon Director, Commerce Experience as a strategic partner. This position is responsible for supporting client accounts through commerce plans and reporting. They will work with their manager to deliver Amazon Search and DSP strategies, analyze performance data, and coordinate efforts across both internal and external teams.

They will be helping our clients to understand the complex commerce landscape, inclusive of retail media networks and third-party partners, to help inform how Amazon plays within the ecosystem.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Senior Strategist, Commerce Experience will have several main responsibilities within the successful planning and implementation of commerce strategist for our clients:

Reporting & Analysis: Deep dive into data straight from Amazon Ads (Search and DSP), Pacvue, Vendor Central, and Profitero to draw conclusions and help make recommendations to client teams on how to affect performance. Creation of data driven presentations to be shared both internally and with clients, across business performance and media results.

Tentpole Planning: Help to craft strategic plans by Business Unit for clients on how to win during tentpole events like Prime Day, Big Deal Days, and Turkey 5. Evaluate results across subcategories and make recommendations based on client business objectives.

Thought Leadership: Staying up to date on current commerce news & industry trends, especially within Amazon. Help to ensure internal & client teams are up to date and have a POV on what it means for the business.

Cross Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal, external, and client teams to accomplish strategic outcomes. Help to create timelines across teams and maintain accountability.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • 2 – 4 years experience planning / executing retail media campaigns on Amazon
  • Good understanding of eCommerce and Amazon – have worked on either client side or at an agency where they developed commerce insights, worked with eCommerce clients, and have planned media strategies on Amazon
  • Advanced proficiency working within Amazon Ads & Vendor Central, and preferred experience working with Pacvue & Profitero.
  • Experience activating & monitoring performance on key tentpole events such as Prime Day, Prime Big Deal Days, and Turkey 5.
  • eCommerce understanding – able to effectively translate client business objectives into media strategy
  • Experience in crafting media reporting - including a strong understanding of KPIs and client objectives
  • Strong writing skills and experience putting together strategic POV’s in the commerce space

Compensation Range:  $73,500 - $91,500 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. For this role, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.  The Company anticipates the application window for this job posting will end 1/2/2024.
